Those who picked the Lakers as the top"win-now" option pointed to a single, overriding factor: LeBron.
James failed to make a mark in a question about the MVP race and came in fifth when players were asked which player they would pick if they were starting a team from scratch. Of 117 fielded votes, James took second by a thin margin over Kobe Bryant . Michael Jordan still reigns supreme with 73% of respondents claiming they still want to be like Mike.
