Pulp Fiction star John Travolta is reportedly being eyed for a role in Quentin Tarantino's last film, The Movie Critic.
What is Tarantino’s last film, The Movie Critic?
Tarantino announced in March 2023 that his tenth film, The Movie Critic, would also be his last. The film was initially rumored to be about film critic Pauline Kael; however, Taranto has since debunked said reports. While not much is known about the project at this time, The Movie Critic is set in 1977 California. Tarantino toldin May 2023 that the movie “is based on a guy who really lived, but was never really famous, and he used to write movie reviews for a porno rag.”
Tarantino added, “He wrote about mainstream movies and he was the second-string critic. I think he was a very good critic. He was as cynical as hell. His reviews were a cross between early Howard Stern and what Travis Bickle might be if he were a film critic.” Travolta and Tarantino only ever worked together on 1994’s Pulp Fiction; however, Pulp Fiction was the movie that restarted Travolta’s acting career and put him back into A-List territory.
