Nationals Senator Matt Canavan says the move to electric vehicles “is about control”.
“That’s why the government or the Labor government in particular likes these types of schemes,” Mr Canavan told Sky News Australia.
“We’re putting climate first all the time … why don’t we put the Australian consumer first, the Australian people first, provide what they want. “Why can’t we have a government that’s trying to deliver for what people want, not what they think everybody else should have.”
