The 2021 Brit Awards was an extra special one this year, being one of the first major in-person events to have taken place since the pandemic took hold of the UK.
The event saw 4,000 people in attendance with no social distancing or masks required . The awards ceremony had been chosen to be part of the government’s Events Research Programme, which will evaluate how venues can restart large events and welcome crowds back safely this summer. This makes the Brits one of the first in-person award ceremonies to take place without any virtual element to it at all – and saw performances from some big names, including Coldplay and The Weeknd.
