The Subaru WRX Sportswagon joins the stable of unicorns that aren’t coming to the United States.
, we’re hard pressed to think of anything Subaru fans want more than a wagon form factor and a manual gearbox. We count ourselves among those who pine for the days when a WRX could be had with three pedals and with so much extra room for activities. Unfortunately, it’s not 2006 anymore and that isn’t an option.Whatever, we’ll have to live with that.
. The kicker is that the six-speed manual transmission is going to be the cheapest version! It’s like Subaru hates us. We don’t know exactly how much cargo space that glorious wagon badonkadonk will offer, but the rear seats have a 40/20/40 split making it easy to carry large objects. If you live in Mexico, Subaru is taking pre-orders now with plans to release the WRX Sportwagon later in 2024. We’ll just continue to sulk in the meantime.
