Blake Newby has been a content creator since 2018 when she started working in beauty editorial.Here is the media kit she uses to get partnerships with brands. The former Essence beauty and style editor usually shows off an outfit that's versatile enough to wear to multiple events: a brand-sponsored dinner party, restaurant tasting, pop-up, and maybe the club afterward.
"When I would post the things I was doing or the products I would get, people would be so intrigued," Newby told Insider."Some people were like 'Does Blake have a job? I think she goes to events and opens products for a living.'" Newby is focusing more these days on creating content, but she doesn't intend to make it a full-time career. She has said it"ran her body into the ground" and evenWhile she still posts on TikTok and Instagram throughout event-filled days and her travels, she said her life has slowed down a lot since leaving the magazine world and she doesn't want content creation to start to feel like a job.
