Powerful new heroes have debuted in Phase 4 and 5.

The MCU lost some of its most iconic heroes during 2019's Avengers: Endgame, so in the wake of the Infinity Saga's conclusion, Marvel Studios debuted many new heroes to fill the superhero void.
This continued into the MCU's subsequent Avengers projects, with Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor even being dubbed the "Big Three" as they were always the most capable at taking on Avengers-level threats. Smaller-scale Avengers-centric stories such as Captain America: Civil War meant that Black Widow and Hawkeye had more to do, but this problem only got worse as more powerful heroes were introduced, including the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Along with the New Avengers team, the MCU's new Guardians of the Galaxy team consists of some remarkable new heroes such as Adam Warlock and Phyla, both of whom have only had their powers briefly explored in the MCU. Phase 5 is also set to debut many mutant characters in Deadpool 3, whose abilities could put some of the other Avengers to shame.
