The Marvels will reunite the audience with Carol Danvers a.k.a. Captain Marvel , but it can’t solve the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s big Captain Marvel mystery anymore. Carol Danvers made her MCU debut in Marvel’s Phase Three as the studio began to lean more into this universe’s cosmic side, and even though there were already female superheroes in the MCU, Carol became the first one to get her own solo movie.
