The latest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, The Marvels, looks to be having a rough time when it comes to presales.
. The outlet states that The Marvels presales potentially spell out one of the lowest openings for an MCU movie at less than $70 million. This means theThe original Captain Marvel, comparatively, made $153.4 million from its opening weekend. When it comes to the aforementioned DC movies, Black Adam eventually ended up opening with $67 million, while The Flash opened at $55 million.
“Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence,” the official synopsis reads. “But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe.
