TheMandalorian season 3 trailer dropped last night, and it hints at another Order 66 flashback, leaving many StarWars fans reeling over the heartbreaking event again. Check out some of the reactions here:

Following the release of The Mandalorian season 3 trailer, Star Wars fans brace themselves for more flashbacks to Emperor Palpatine's Order 66. The popular Star Wars television show returns after an over two-year wait. However, The Book of Boba Fett previously teased what's to come in season 3, which saw Din Djarin command an entire episode where he acquired a new ship, was given a new mission to return to Mandalore, and eventually reunited with Grogu.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Star Wars recently released the latest trailer for The Mandalorian season 3, hinting at another Order 66 flashback. Within the trailer, a brief shot showed several Jedi bracing themselves from an impending attack within the Jedi Temple. The scene likely takes place just after Emperor Palpatine gave Order 66, which saw the Clones turn on their Jedi compatriots, with Anakin Skywalker leading the army to kill the remaining Jedi within the Jedi temple.

The Book of Boba Fett episode 6 gave a brief glimpse into Grogu's last moments at the Jedi Temple. While training with Luke Skywalker on Ossus, his teacher taps into his memories to reveal clone troopers killing multiple Jedi defending the temple and closing in on him. Before the clones could reach the diminutive youngling, the Order 66 flashback ends.

The new flashback sequence may include Anakin Skywalker as his Dark Side alter ego, Darth Vader, who leads his clones in the Jedi massacre. Christensen returned to his iconic role in Obi-Wan Kenobi for the first time since Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith in 2005. It is possible that while filming Obi-Wan Kenobi, he filmed several scenes for The Mandalorian and for his confirmed appearance in the upcoming live-action series Ahsoka.
