The closest thing we have to a male contraceptive pill is a jab, which uses a technique known as Risug . It works by injecting a gel into the sperm ducts , which creates a barrier that stops the sperm from being able to fertilise an egg once it's passed through it. The injection lasts up to 10 years – and can even prevent the transmission of HIV.
