The hospitality sector is expected to welcome some long-awaited changes next week. COVID19ireland

Ireland will take another step towards the resumption of normal life with the lifting of further Covid restrictions next week.

In less than two weeks' time, Ireland will see the return of clubs, the end of social distancing and as close to normal as the country has seen in 18 months. Taoiseach Micheal Martin said “we are on track” to lift all rules then but the requirement to wear face masks will remain in three settings.Mr Martin added that he will make a further announcement on the final lifting of all coronavirus restrictions and hinted there may be some rules for nightclubs.
