With Christmas not all that far away, you can now book a one-of-a-kind winter journey on an old-fashioned steam train — and Santa Claus himself will even be on board.

A 'Santa Steam Train' on which families can take a Christmas-themed railway ride is coming to Scotland this winter.

Also included is live on-board entertainment such as festive singers and magicians, as well as complimentary seasonal refreshments. Those with a ticket will also be able to ride the miniature steam train ride at Bo'ness and explore its Museum of Scottish Railways. One previous Santa Steam Train passenger wrote: "My 80-year-old husband and five-year-old grandson, who are both train enthusiasts, , enjoyed the trip very much. Everything about the Santa Steam Train was well organised and fun.

More information about the Santa Steam Train can be found on the Bo'ness and Kinneil Railway website.
