Mike Flanagan answers questions during The Life of Chuck red carpet at TIFF 2024
Mike Flanagan may be best known for his hit Netflix shows about generational trauma, especially The Haunting of Hill House and Midnight Mass, but The Life of Chuck is gearing up to make him everyone's favorite Stephen King collaborator. Doctor Sleep, his first attempt at adapting the King for the big screen, was not as financially successful as one might have hoped Annalise Basso — but it certainly established their shared affinity for tragedy, horror, and humanity.
1 Screen Rant interviewed filmmaker Mike Flanagan on the red carpet for The Life of Chuck, discussing the power of Stephen King's work with him as well as the chances of a return to the world of Oculus. We also had the chance to catch musician Taylor Gordon at her TIFF debut, and she explained how she wound up playing the drums for a pivotal dance sequence in the second act of the movie.
