It might seem like the end of an era for some. But as longtime New4JAX lead anchor Tom Wills embarks on his new life-calling of retirement, it’s a new beginning — guided by God.
Tornado season shaping up to be the worst in US in over a decade with 1,000+ so far this year Tom Retires Throughout his career, he’s remained vocal about how Christianity has been a driving force in his life and has openly shared his faith with the audience.“It’s a new chapter in our lives, and we don’t know what to think about it. I’ve never retired before,” Tom said.
Tom said the next step after that prayer was to stop thinking about his retirement and give it to God to lead the way.Stepping into his next chapter is one filled with peace and fulfillment. Tom said former New4JAX News Director Bob Ellis brought the idea to him to combat that claim and to tell the stories of those making impactful strides in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia.
