HBO's The Last of Us season 3 has finally cast two key roles that play a pivotal part in the show's next chapter. The acclaimed video game adaptation is set to adapt the second half of The Last of Us Part II, which will see Kaitlyn Dever's Abby take center stage.
The primary antagonist of season 2, Abby is a member of the Washington Liberation Front, a Seattle-based rebel group that has overtaken the city and is in a brutal civil war with the religious cult known as the Seraphites. Michelle Mao will play Yara and Kyriana Kratter will play Lev, siblings whose paths cross with Abby's at a pivotal moment and just as Ellie begins her rampage of revenge in Seattle. Season 3 is set to be a major departure for The Last of Us. After focusing on Joel and Ellie's story in the first two seasons, the series will repeat the game's decision to switch perspectives, following Abby in the events leading up to her fateful confrontation with a vengeful Ellie in the season 2 finale.
