The Star Wars: Timelines book nails down exactly when the new Dawn of the Jedi era movie will take place, while also hinting at it’s first character.
At Star Wars Celebration 2023, Lucasfilm announced an exciting new Star Wars movie set during the Dawn of the Jedi era. While the Lucasfilm Studio Showcase panel mentioned that this movie would be the furthest back Star Wars has ever gone on-screen, a new book reveals the exact date the movie will take place. Not much is known about the Dawn of the Jedi era in canon, other than what was revealed in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Not only will the Dawn of the Jedi era movie show the Prime Jedi founding and creating the Jedi ideals that carry on for millennia, but it will explore the discovery of the Force itself. One of the biggest challenges posed by going so far back in the galaxy comes with tying it back to what fans know about Star Wars.
In addition to revealing the exact year of the Dawn of the Jedi, Star Wars: Timelines also may have hinted at the first confirmed character in the film. Star Wars: The Clone Wars season 5, episode 7 introduced one of the wisest droids in the galaxy, known as Professor Huyang, voiced by Scottish actor David Tennant. Since his introduction, Huyang was said to have served the Jedi Order for thousands of years.
Everything We Know About The First Jedi Very little is known about what the Prime Jedi was like and why they founded the Jedi Order, but Yoda had read about them in the sacred Jedi texts. The first Jedi Temple on Ahch-To depicts the Prime Jedi in a yin and yang style, where they stand in the middle of both the light and dark sides of the Force. Like the prophecy of the Chosen One, the Prime Jedi likely tried to balance the Force at some point.
