On this week's episode of the InEVitable, we talk to Aptera's chief of design, Jason Hill. While not exactly a household name, you're familiar with his work. Like many of our designer guests, Hill is an Art Center graduate—although with a bit of a twist. Both his father and uncle were designers at General Motors during Bill Mitchell's legendary reign, with his father having designed the innovative yet ill-fated Pontiac Fiero.
Now he's at Aptera, a tenacious, Orange County-based startup that's doggedly determined to build a 3-wheeled 2-seater electric vehicle. Why tenacious? The company initially launched in 2005 and folded in 2011. However, the two founders and Hill decided the idea was too good to leave as just a historical footnote and Aptera Motors was relaunched in 2019.
