Notts County take on MK Dons in League Two on September 9

After reaching the summit of the League Two table so early, Notts County now look forward to the “incredible challenge” of maintaining their position with another tough assignment this weekend. It is first versus second at Stadium MK this Saturday as the Magpies make the trip to Buckinghamshire to take on MK Dons.

"“We’ve noticed an increase in the quality of the teams from last season that’s for sure. I think it’s fair to say that Accrington [Stanley] are very good and we had a tough game against them, and now we could be possibly facing an even tougher opponent in MK Dons, particularly going away from home. “We’re top of the league now which I don’t think anyone in the camp is feeling too much stress over, but we now have an incredibly tough challenge in front of us to try and do our very best to remain there.”

“He’s a tough and competitive guy,” added Williams. “Sometimes with the younger players that can be something that develops later, the willingness to be physical and have high concentration levels. He looks to have those qualities already built into him and he has adapted well in training. We have no negative impressions of him at all but of course, he has joined us very well so he will have to be patient in getting time on the pitch.
