The Hurry-Up: Ohio State extends six more offers, including 4-star 2024 linebacker Payton Pierce, 4-star 2025 running back Tory Blaylock and 2026 quarterback Julian Lewis.
The 6-foot-1, 176-pound Jones does not hold a composite ranking but has picked up 15 Division I offers, including Alabama, Georgia, Colorado, Florida State, Kentucky, Michigan State, North Carolina, Notre Dame, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M and UCF.
In 2022, Jones made 44 tackles and six pass breakups as a cornerback. Offensively, he ran for 1,279 yards on 122 carries with 20 touchdowns while catching 14 passes for 382 yards and seven receiving touchdowns.Lewis is the fifth player overall and the first quarterback the Buckeyes have offered in the 2026 class.
While no player in 2026 has a composite rankings yet, the 6-foot-1, 175-pound Lewis has a plethora of Division I offers, picking up nearly 30 just after the concluded freshman season. Some of his offers include Alabama, Georgia, Arkansas, Auburn, Colorado, Florida, Florida State, Kentucky, Michigan, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Texas and Texas A&M.
In his freshman season, Lewis had a breakout year for Carrollton High School , leading his team to a 14-1 season and a state title appearance. He completed 283 of 432 passes for 4,118 yards and 48 touchdowns to 12 interceptions. Lewis also ran for 86 yards on 13 carries. Like Jones, Joseph also plays multiple positions, including wide receiver and defensive back. In college, Joseph’s future is likely to be as a defensive back. He picked up his OSU offer on Friday.
