The Hurry-Up: Five-star 2023 OT Samson Okunlola is considering taking a visit to Ohio State later this year and the Buckeyes offer 5-star DE Colin Simmons and two other prospects.

The Buckeyes are likely content to head into National Signing Day with that number, barring a possible addition of a premier offensive tackle. Five-starEleven Warriors“I might,” Okunlola responded via text when asked if he’s planning on visiting Ohio State this year.

Considering Okunlola didn’t take a trip to Columbus in the spring or the summer, getting him on campus is critical if the Buckeyes are going to have any shot in this recruitment. Ohio State would probably love to get the Massachusetts prospect considered the 15th-best player in the 2023 cycle per 247Sports’ composite rankings on campus for the final regular season game of the year against Michigan. Especially considering signing day isn't too far off from that game.

In the meantime, Ohio State extended offers to three players Monday, two from the 2024 class and one from the 2025 cycle. We’ll delve into those below.Colin Simmons, a 6-foot-3, 225-pound defensive end from Texas, is the most highly-touted prospect of the three players offered Monday. He’s considered the 16th-best prospect and second-best edge in the 2024 cycle, and as you’d expect, he has no shortage of offers at his disposal.
