Though his son is still a bit young, Jason and his daughter take time each night before bed to create a list answering questions like “What did you do good today,” ”What could you have improved on today,” “What are you grateful for today?” and “What’s your goal for tomorrow?” — a routine they started when she was four years old.
Above all else, Jason said, he focuses on being present with his children. “You don't have to be the perfect dad," he explained. "It's the time and just letting them know that you're there for them."
