The Greater Manchester schools closed on Wednesday as strike action hits classrooms
Tens of thousands of Greater Manchester children will be at home on Wednesday when industrial action hits schools. Teachers in England and Wales who are members of the National Education Union will walk out on February 1 as part of a dispute over pay.
