In upcoming issues of The Flash, Wally West's new baby is about to go missing. And as if that wasn't enough of an emergency, it seems Darkseid has something to do with it. How does the new West kid connect to DC's ultimate villain?
Warning: Potential SPOILERS for The Flash #798 and #799The birth of the Flash's baby is imminent, but so is a new threat for Wally West, Linda Park, and their family. New details for upcoming issues of The Flash reveal that the newest Park-West baby might have a mysterious connection to Darkseid and the other terrible beings of Apokolips.
Last year, the Flash and his wife Linda learned they had a new baby on the way, and they have been eagerly awaiting the baby's arrival. But now, in the solicitations for The Flash #798 and 799, it looks like tragedy might just hit the West family. The new baby seems to go missing, leading the Flash and his allies to battle Granny Goodness. The full solicitation for The Flash #799, as well as the issue's main cover, follows: SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY THE FLASH #799 Related: The Flash’s Son Gets a New Costume Just Like Wally’s The Flash and His Family Are in For the Fight of Their Lives This isn't even the first mystery to surround this yet-unborn baby. Just before Wally and Linda learned about the pregnancy, Linda had begun to manifest her own speed powers, suddenly keeping up with Wally and their two Speed Force-connected twins, Irey and Jai. Once the family learned that Linda's mysterious new powers were likely connected to a pregnancy, they were overjoyed—but cosmic danger always seems to follow the Flash. Granny Goodness, whose teased involvement spells doom for the Flash Family, is a cruel being from Apokolips, the world ruled by the terrifying Darkseid—Granny's leader. Of course, the solicitation information for The Flash #799 leaves fans with more questions than answers, as does the summary for #798, the cover for which features Linda holding the new baby with Apokolips burning in the background. Is the new Flash child kidnapped? What is the connection to Granny Goodness, Darkseid, and Apokolips? It's impossible to answer these questions, but the mystery is beyond intriguing. If the birth of a new Flash Family baby wasn't enough reason to keep following the current Flash run, this mysterious connection to Darkseid should certainly hook readers. The questions Flash fans are left with after reading these summaries aren't a problem—they make the wait for answers all the more exciting.Check out The Flash #798 and #799, available May from DC Comics!
