), the new film takes place in Hope Harbor, a remote village near a heavily fortified demilitarized zone. Local chief Bum-seok goes to investigate a possible tiger appearance in the area, only to discover that it’s not actually a tiger. Instead, it turns out to be an alien—several of them, and they’re chasing and killing anyone they see.
Soon, the whole town is relying on each other to survive and figure out what, if anything, these aliens want with them. Along with Jung-min, Zo In-Sung, Jung Ho-yeon, Alicia Vikander, and Michael Fassbender round out the cast.. It sounds like it rocks on a pure action and creature feature level, but when it’s time to show what the aliens actually are, the visual effects.
Since it’s not supposed to hit theaters until the fall, it’s possible the effects will get punched up by then. But impressions are out there if you want to seek them out—and if you just want to ignore all that and let any trailers do their job, that’s also fine.
