'People We Meet on Vacation,' the first Emily Henry screen adaptation, has announced its leads, and it will feature the stars of 'The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes' and 'My Lady Jane.'
The stars of "The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes" and "My Lady Jane" will play the film's romantic duo.with over seven years of experience in the entertainment industry. An award-winning journalist, she's written for Turner Classic Movies,, and more. She's worked at EW for six years covering film, TV, theater, music, and books.
The novel follows the two former longtime best friends, who used to spend one week of every summer on vacation together. Two years ago, something happened and they haven't spoken since. But when Poppy convinces Alex to take one last trip together , she's determined to set things right, even if it means putting all their cards on the table once and for all.
"I'm so excited, you guys," Henry told them. "I have been like kind of an anxious wreck about who would play these characters, and I just truly could not feel any more confident that my readers and then so many more people who don't even know about the book are going to completely, completely fall in love with Poppy and Alex, with you guys playing them."is being produced by Sony, but will be released on Netflix as part of a special partnership between the two studios.
