As the UK and EU attempt to strike a deal over the Northern Ireland Protocol Here are the eight significant sticking points which make the dispute complicated ⤵️

Instead, No 10 has now signalled no such move is imminent and stressed the “significant gaps” between the positions of London and Brussels. Sausages and chilled meats – all products of animal origin face costly paperwork and physical inspections, although grace periods have delayed implementation.

Stormont – the Belfast institutions will have no role in a requirement to adopt any changes to regulations still applying in Northern Ireland, creating a “democratic deficit”, it is argued.
