As she returns more to public life, the Princess of Wales is reaching for heritage British brands that have long histories with the royal family.
Last week, Kate Middleton revealed that she is in remission from cancer. Now in a rare, much more casual outing, the Princess of Wales was photographed shopping in west London’s Notting Hill. She made the solo shopping trip to the independent London, Italian-made eyewear store Finlay & Co, where she was seen perusing the glasses. The royal is a big fan of the brand’s sunglasses, regularly reaching for a tortoiseshell set in the summer.
She was photographed meeting medical staff and patients in a typically elegant outfit, choosing new and familiar pieces she has worn previously: a bespoke burgundy check Blaze Milano coat—which had been lengthened—as well as a Gabriela Hearst turtleneck sweater with an Edeline Lee skirt, and black Russell & Bromley pumps. She carried another new bag for the engagement from another luxury British brand, one beloved by the late Queen Elizabeth II.
