Edi Gathegi's casting as Michael Holt's Mister Terrific was announced in July 2023, alongside several other unexpected characters who will appear alongside David Corenswet's Clark Kent in James Gunn's Superman movie.
Other costumes, including those of Clark Kent's Superman, Lois Lane, Cat Grant, Jimmy Olsen, and Lex Luthor, have also been seen in new set photos, making the DCU's Superman movie even more highly-anticipated. Mister Terrific In Superman Could Be The Start Of The DCU’s Premiere Superhero Team Close The casting of DC characters such as Mister Terrific, Hawkgirl, Guy Gardner's Green Lantern, and Metamorpho in the DCU's Superman reboot has raised suspicions that the project will be debuting the franchise's first superhero team.
In DC Comics, Mister Terrific was also featured as the chairperson of the Justice Society of America back in 2001. It's possible that 2025's Superman could debut a new version of the Justice Society, rather than the Justice League, reinvented after a version of the team appeared in 2022's Black Adam.
