The Kirkland Police Department is investigating a break-in at Doug's Auto Tune & Repair that happened just about 5 a.m. on Monday, August 29, in the Totem Lake neighborhood.

The main suspect smashed the front glass door to get inside the shop. The same suspect found a red Ford Fusion parked in the auto repair bay. The vehicle was blocked in, but the suspect rammed his way out, hitting other cars and property until he maneuvered the Ford Fusion out of the vehicle bay, stealing the car.

KPD is asking the public for any information on this second suspect to call the Kirkland Police Department’s tip line at 587-3515.Just after 1 a.m., Tukwila Police Officers responded to a burglary alarm at a business in the 200 block of Minkler Blvd. When officers arrived, they observed a Jeep Gladiator parked directly in front of the business door. As officers approached the door, a suspect in the vehicle spotted the officers and fled in the car at a high rate of speed while honking their horn.
