But autumn is often the time of year when we collectively contemplate the ethereal enigmas beyond this realm, with a number of enduring rites that speak to our curiosity and wonder: Halloween, Día de los Muertos, and time in nature as trees lose their leaves are just some of the contemplative occasions the season affords us.an outdoor theatrical experience unfurling at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center on select September evenings, is billed as"A Festive Funeral for Our Times." The show summons our connection to the eternal mysteries through live music, large puppets, movement, and a stirring sense of the dramatic. Visomnia, with artist Jeff Hull at the creative lead, developed the expansive and immersive presentation, with"a constellation of artists" offering their talents. Music producer TOKiMONSTA and the stirring movement stylings of artist MiYU add spirit to the experience, along with costumes created by Damselfrau and Spencer Hansen.; tickets are available for the procession-themed gathering, which concludes on the final Sunday of September.The theatrical funerary experience is flowering each Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through Sept. 28, 2025.Installations on the move, shimmering drones, and imaginative set pieces weave through the evening.
