Taylor Swift was just one of the celebrities who chimed in on Wednesday night's VPDebate
following Trump's own tweet on shooting looters in Minneapolis during protests over George Floyd's death.
"The change we need most is to elect a president who recognizes that people of color deserve to feel safe and represented, that women deserve the right to choose what happens to their bodies, and that the LGBTQIA+ community deserves to be acknowledged and included," Swift said. She continued:"Everyone deserves a government that takes global health risks seriously and puts the lives of its people first. The only way we can begin to make things better is to choose leaders who are willing to face these issues and find ways to work through them."
Swift's endorsement coincides with the only face-off between the 2020 vice presidential candidates: incumbent Mike Pence and Biden's running mate, Sen. Harris.Wednesday. And the"Lover" musician plans to tune in to see how the cookie crumbles, literally. "Gonna be watching and supporting @KamalaHarris by yelling at the tv a lot," she captioned a picture of herself holding a large platter of Biden-Harris 2020 sweets."And I also have custom cookies."to voice her support for Phil Bredesen, Tennessee's Democratic candidate for Senate, and to denounce his Republican opponent, Marsha Blackburn. Blackburn would go on to defeat Bredesen.
