The Ireland international is hyped for the draw and facing some of Europe's elite clubs
Adam Idah usually gets a few folk round to his house when Celtic’s Champions League games are on TV. But this season, the big striker will have 60,000 people for company.
“Everyone speaks about the atmosphere you get at Celtic Park on those big European nights. I’ve watched them with family and friends of mine since I was very young. “There was a big group of us together for that one. But to experience them as a player from the inside now will be a whole new thing. But before the glitz and glamour of the Champions League, Celtic have to deal with St Mirren in Paisley. And Idah insists he’s ready to start for Rodgers’ men after making his big-money move from Norwich City.
“Obviously, I just want to play games now, that’s the main aim for me. That will get me as sharp as I can be to score goals again. I’m looking forward to the game this weekend. We never take any match for granted and St Mirren will be a good test for us. “They’ve all been buzzing for the new campaign and you can see that by the way they’ve been playing on the pitch. Hopefully we can continue that going forward. For me watching them, it made me want to be part of it. The team have got off to a great start. Now I’m back and eager to try and help to keep it going.”
