Drew Sheneman | The Star-Ledger Generally speaking, the Biden administration has done a competent job dealing with the aspects of the pandemic they can control.

They can control access and availability of vaccines and they have. We are absolutely swimming in available doses. They can’t control the 30 plus percent of the country that willfully bathes their brains in conspiratorial nonsense. For the Biden administration there are, however, some areas for improvement.

First off, testing. Let’s go, Joe. Start shipping tests. Cheap, easy at home testing should have been in place months ago. Second, messaging. As I’ve stated here before, Democrats are terrible at messaging, which is essentially marketing. There is no reason the COVID guidance from the CDC should sound like stereo instructions written in Sanskrit. Drop the dead languages and just explain to people in plain english what they should be doing to stay keep themselves and their families safe.

Despite what gets amplified nightly by the cable news goblins, most people are not pee drinking zealots willing to sacrifice lung function to own the libs. Most people are fairly reasonable and just want to know best practices to keep their family safe. Just tell them.
