What happens to DCI Rachel Carey, Isaac Turner, and the plot to expose Correction? The Capture finale ending in detail
season-two finale had a lot to accomplish, thanks to episode five's cliffhanger which saw DI Rachel Carey kidnapped by hired gunmen and dragged into a van.
This spurs Carey on even more to uncover the truth, and she brings journalist Khadija Khan into the fold, too, after she is a victim of Correction in another interview with Isaac. A frustrated Carey, who suspects CIA operator Frank Napier is in on it, also suspects Knox so she goes to his office to confront him only to be pounced on by those same assassins — except this time the man who killed Patrick – Nikolai Mirsky – is shot by the other assassin, an American.
Hart joins them, asking Carey to sign a false-flag statement in which they blame Nikolai Mirsky, and tangentially the Russian Federation, for the sustained gun violence in London. Isaac, on the phone with Knox in the back of a cab, is surprised when Knox reveals that he can see Isaac on TV; the cab, however, won't return to the BBC and Knox hangs up on Isaac, suspecting that the phone version is the deep fake.
