The Bagelry, located on Nelson Street in Chinatown, has been open for nearly a decade, but has seen a boom in trade recently
The Bagelry - a bagel shop on on Nelson Street in Liverpool's Chinatown - has been attracting customers who are willing to travel over 50 miles just to get a taste of its offerings. This café has soared in popularity recently, resulting in bustling crowds and 'queues out the door' most weekends.
What sets The Bagelry apart is its changing menu, which is reshaped based on the feedback of patrons. During my visit, I ordered a char sui pork bagel, freshly introduced for Chinese New Year, reports the Liverpool Echo.According to Hayley: "Being on Nelson Street, and being the only non-Chinese owned business, we don't want to take a place that isn't ours - we want to be involved in the community. We love it here.
The Bagelry has a unique and fresh feel to it. With pride flag wall hangings and bright art, it's clear this place is popular with students.Hayley told us that while their Chinatown shop is the main one, they also have another shop on Dovedale Road in Mossley Hill. This one is more family-friendly.
