Guillermo del Toro will direct Netflix's animated movie The Buried Giant, based on Nobel Prize winner Kazuo Ishiguro's fantasy novel.

The film will be produced by del Toro, with ShadowMachine serving as its stop-motion studio. This marks del Toro’s latest collaboration with Netflix after first working together on animated shows includingMaggie Dela Paz has been writing about the movie and TV industry for more than four years now. Besides being a fan of coming-of-age films and shows, she also enjoys watching K-Dramas and listening to her favorite K-Pop groups.
