The Boys premiered on Amazon Prime Video in 2019 and quickly became one of the most successful superhero franchises outside Marvel and DC. The Boys follows a group of vigilantes as they attempt to take down a corrupt group of supes known as The Seven.

In early February, Kripke also tweeted the title of the season 4 finale title: “Assassination Run.” With this wild title that hints at yet more assassination attempts, either by The Boys themselves or their enemies, it seems that The Boys season 4 will conclude in a majorly murderous style - and Kripke's season 5 nod means that season 4 can end on a shocking cliffhanger.

With the title and the “Herogasm” writer, it can be assumed that the finale will be suitably unhinged.
With this information, it seems that The Boys season 4 will be building to a major assassination - potentially of Neuman or another political figure - by Butcher and his team or a forgotten Supe. It would be hard to imagine a version of The Boys' finale that doesn’t end in violence, and if the tension of The Boys season 3 finale is any indicator, The Boys season 4 could be the wildest season yet.
