It's finally time to rev your engines and hit the road when The Bikeriders film arrives in cinemas on June 21. The crime drama by Jeff Nichols was originally slated to be released last year but unfortunately faced major delays due to being dropped from Disney's distribution slate. The movie is based on the book and photography series by Danny Lyon who followed the lives of an Illinois motorcycle club during the 60s called the Outlaws.
Benny is played by Austin Butler, an Oscar-nominated and Golden Globe-winning actor who rose to major stardom after his leading performance in Baz Luhrmann's Elvis. He began his career as a teen actor who worked in various Nickelodeon and Disney Channel series such as Zoey 101 and Hannah Montana. Butler continued on other network TV series, including Switched at Birth, The Carrie Diaries, and The Shannara Chronicles.
Tom Hardy is an Oscar-nominated British actor whose filmography has spanned since the early 2000s. His performance in the drama film Bronson put him on the map before he starred in Christopher Nolan's Inception. Hardy collaborated with Nolan twice more in The Dark Knight Rises and Dunkirk. Between those films, he portrayed a diverse range of characters in Warrior, Locke, Mad Max: Fury Road, and Legend. He also worked on TV series such as Taboo and Peaky Blinders.
Shannon is a prolific actor with an intense acting style who began his career in major movies, including Groundhog Day, Vanilla Sky, and 8 Mile. He received Oscar nominations for his work in Revolutionary Road and Nocturnal Animals. He often takes on villainous characters as shown in movies like Premium Rush, Man of Steel, and The Shape of Water. Shannon also has an impressive repertoire of television work in series such as Boardwalk Empire, Nine Perfect Strangers, and George and Tammy.
He is popularly known as Daryl Dixon from TheWalking Dead franchise and even earned his spin-off, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. His work in film includes The Conspirator, Sky, and Triple 9. Reedus' next projects that are lined up include the John Wick spin-off, Ballerina, and the sequel to Hideo Kojima's action video game, Death Stranding.
