SAN DIEGO, July 14, 2018 | People with the North County LGBTQ Resource Center carry the transgender flag during the San Diego Pride Parade in San Diego on Saturday.Here are some of the best things to do this weekend in San Diego from Friday, July 19 to Sunday, July 21.The Spirit of Stonewall Rally is an event that acknowledges those who contribute to the LGBTQ+ community through leadership, fundraising efforts and activism.
The public is invited to walk and support the LGBTQ+ community at one of the largest parades in San Diego. This year’s San Diego Pride Parade theme is Making History Now and event organizers expect approximately 250,000 people to attend. The parade starts at University Avenue and Normal Street, goes west on University Avenue to Sixth Avenue and then south on Sixth Avenue to Balboa Drive and Quince Street, where the parade ends.
5 p.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday and Aug. 3-4. Lake Poway, 14644 Lake Poway Road. Cost is $65 for Poway residents and $78 for nonresidents for up to five people.The San Diego Air & Space Museum and International Air & Space Hall of Fame host “Fly Me to the Moon: An Evening with Legends” to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing on July 20, 1969.
“The Sound of Magic” is landing at the Rady Shell concert venue. The San Diego Symphony Orchestra will perform music from Disney movies and characters will be on stage performing as well. Some of the movie scores will include, “Aladdin,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Encanto,” “Fantasia” and “The Lion King.” San Diego Automotive Museum Cars & Coffee:
