From the blue screen of death, to a very lucky pup — the ABC's photographers were on hand to capture WA in all its glory throughout the month of July.
As we enter the final month of winter, take a look at the photos that defined our news coverage over July, from bombshell revelations in court to celebrating the Aussie town that helped put NASA on the moon.Reporter Keane Bourke captured some of the disruption in the Perth newsroom, which led to many journalists being unable to work, or having to improvise the "old school" way with CDs and MP3 files, not to mention the widespread disruption to airports, businesses and IT departments.

Today, it remains a great source of pride, including for John Harmsen, one of the station's longest-serving technicians, pictured here with his wife.Ben Pettingill tours Australia with his mate Mike Rolls, who became a double amputee after surviving a deadly bout of meningococcal.Ben Pettingill is 98 per cent blind, and on a mission to run 3,249km, representing every life lost to suicide in 2022. He's supported by double amputee Mike Rolls, who lost his legs to meningococcal disease.
Karen Hall and her daughter Jaime Vines are still coming to terms with the death of little Joey, who drowned in a neighbour's pool.Perth mother Karen Hall is fighting for a law to be passed to prevent children from dying in similar circumstances to her son, six-year-old Joey Vines,Her daughter Jamie has been learning to cope with her younger brother's death through grief counselling, and they remember him as their "angel baby".
