The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is the best gaming CPU out there, so it deserves a great motherboard. But it doesn't need the absolute best. These ones are perfect fits.
Arguably the best thing about the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D is its affordability. It’s the best gaming processor in the world and yet you can buy it for around $350, so why ruin that affordability with an expensive motherboard? While there is an argument to be made that you’ll maximize its performance with a top-tier board, that’s not a necessity and, in fact, you can get most of what you need with a more modest buy.
Related The best: MSI Mag B650 Tomahawk Wi-Fi This motherboard represents a fantastic value for a Ryzen 7 7800X3D-based gaming PC. It has top-tier features, impressive specifications, and its price tag is around $200, meaning you can bundle it into a sub-$1,000 gaming build if you’re careful, or save yourself enough money to get a beefier GPU to really boost your frame rates.
I know it’s a matter of personal taste, but I think this board looks pretty slick too. The all-black design, passive low-profile chipset and SSD heat sinks, and armored PCI Express slot all look great. Best for overclocking: Asrock B650e Taichi So you want to overclock the 7800X3D, huh? Not satisfied with its already incredible power and don’t mind making it less efficient? Fair enough. You’re an enthusiast. We get it. You still don’t need to buy a top spec motherboard though.
It supports USB4, and comes with 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi 6E built in, along with Bluetooth 5.3. It’s an altogether more impressive motherboard than our best pick, but it does come at a higher price tag. If you’re willing to pay it, it’s a fantastic pairing with the 7800X3D.
