We'll be thinking about Queen Latifah in Harbison Studio at the NAACP Image Awards until further notice.
Another weekend, another fashionable awards show red carpet. Last Night, the 55th Annual NAACP Image Awards were held in Los Angeles, honoring Black performers across film, television and music. Hosted by Queen Latifah and aired live on BET, the awards saw a who's who of Hollywood in attendance: Oprah, Kerry Washington, Usher, and Keke Palmer were all there; Quinta Brunson, Idris Elba, Taraji P. Henson, and Damson Idris were, too.
On the awards front, “The Color Purple” emerged as the big winner of the night, with Fantasia Barrino taking home the trophy for Outstanding Actress; Henson and awards season darling Colman Domingo winning for their supporting roles; and the film nabbing Outstanding Motion Picture. Following his wildly successful Las Vegas residency and unforgettable Super Bowl LVIII halftime show, Usher was named Entertainer of the Year.
