Although an oversimplification to say that painting is dead, in the past 20 years it has certainly been overlooked in favour of newer forms. Proving that paint can be provocative, this exhibition showcases work by ten contemporary artists whose figurative work represents the body in fluid and fragmented ways.
The canvases alternate between dark and moody and bright and patterned, addressing topics such as sexual politics, migration, terrorism, online culture and masculinity.
