, Customs , is set to get a major rework at the end of the year as part of the next wipe. The rework will include visual changes and even new areas that players will be able to explore.. Out of all the announcements, arguably the biggest is that Customs is getting a rework, just like Factory got earlier this year.
Some screenshots were shown off in the stream, but they didn’t give too much away. We got to see some new interiors of existing buildings that seem to be changed, and some new art assets that should make the map look a little better, especially in the older areas. But the big news is that there will be new explorable areas of the map, including some buildings that are currently inaccessible. The main one that was teased was the big warehouse near fortress, which attaches to the mechanics shop and sometimes has a sniper scav on top of it.
However, if things are changed too much it could end up being a disaster, as many people, myself included, believe Customs is the best map inv, and extracts that aren’t a pain to get to. Other than potentially Streets of Tarkov, just because of how long a single raid will take, I think Customs is my most played map and I hope that stays the same after the rework.Our community is about connecting people through open and thoughtful conversations.
