Amidst fallout from his split from Jenn Tran, Bachelorette winner Devin Strader posted hundreds of alleged text messages from his ex-fiancée in the name of sharing his “truth.”
“All I’m looking to do is give my side, take accountability, and apologize for some of the things I wasn’t able to say,” said Strader—who was forced sit next to Tran as the show recounted their doomed-to-fail engagement in front of a live studio audience. “By no means am I looking to denounce Jenn in any way,” he continued. “By no means am I looking to come at her in any way or say anything negative about her.
“Frankly I was stunned,” said Strader, “and frankly I had no words at the way our relationship was being depicted on TV. It was really, really disheartening to hear the way Jenn described it, because we both knew that wasn’t true.” He was willing to take blame for at least one accusation Tran made against him—that he followed Maria Georgas, Tran’s former Bachelor castmate and ABC’s rumored first choice for the next Bachelorette, on social media a mere day after their split.
