The Automatons were wiped out in the latest Major Order, but now players are left wondering what the future of Helldivers 2 will look like.
With the completion of the recent Major Order, Helldivers 2 has seen its biggest change since the game launched in February 2024 as the Automatons are no more. Many were skeptical as to whether the completion of the Major Order was going to result in them being eradicated, or whether they would somehow survive and continue to be a threat to the Helldivers.

Instead, Helldivers can only visit planets controlled by the Terminids, with Hellmire, Estanu, and Crimsica being the focus of the current Major Order which ends on April 9th.
