It was 'The End' for one aspiring entrepreneur.
Aimed at two-to-four-year-olds, the final cartoons were pitched to industry professionals following a focus group for kids and parents.
Shaking the gendered groups up, Dani Donovan, Shazia Hussain, and Marnie Swindells were asked to join the men's group, while Gregory, Simba Rwambiwa, Reece Donnell, and Joe Phillips went to work with the women. With Avi Sharma as project manager, the first team came up with a cartoon about Yogita, a giggly giraffe overcoming her insecurities and befriending an elephant. The other group, led by Reece, created a cartoon with two characters named Femi and Faye playing together.
While the sentiment behind the cartoon was positive, the children and experts couldn't help but notice that the girls were missing hands and feet. When that was brought up in the final phase, Reece's group came up with excuses instead of admitting their mistake.
