Scientific advisories, because they are male dominated, tend to be biased against women’s discoveries.Historically, male-dominated teams have shaped AI systems, leaving significant gaps in inclusivity and functionality.
“These are clear examples of how the narratives we consume impact what we believe about ourselves or other people—and then that belief drives change in entire industries,” Crommett says. Today, forensic science remains one of the few STEM fields with gender parity, a success that highlights the power of representation.
