We chat with TheAfterparty season 2 stars John Cho (JohnTheCho) and Ken Jeong (kenjeong) about learning to dance for a role and collaborating with Phil Lord, Chris Miller, and Anthony King on the AppleTV series:
The hilarious genre-bending murder mystery series The Afterparty returns with an all-new mystery for Detective Danner, Zoë, and Aniq to solve. Aniq and Zoë call Detective Danner for help when Zoë's family becomes the prime suspects in the murder of her sister's new husband.
Screen Rant spoke with John Cho and Ken Jeong about season 2 of The Afterparty. Jeong discussed collaborating with Lord, Miller, and King while also breaking down how this series is "the best acting conservatory ever." Cho compared learning dance choreography to mastering martial arts and explained how The Afterparty can be a challenge as an actor.
Ken Jeong: I think it was found footage episode just because when it's your episode, you're tasked with the responsibility of furthering that story and you want to make sure that your performance is exactly not just on point for performance, but on point for the story and the murder mystery as a whole. So there's a lot of responsibility when it comes to your episode.
I love it! And then can you talk to me a little bit about collaborating with Anthony, Phil, and Chris?
